    Step 1 – Locate Your Filter

    Whirlpool refrigerator filters are typically located in one of two spots:

    • In the upper right-hand corner inside the fridge

    • In the base grille at the bottom front of the unit

    Take a moment to identify your filter's location before proceeding.

    Step 2 – Remove the Old Filter

    The removal method depends on your filter style:

    • Push-button style: Press the release button to eject the filter.

    • Twist-in style: Turn the filter counterclockwise and pull it straight out.
